DESCRIPTION:This practical workshop will explore the different capabilities
of the Urban Multi-scale Environmental Predictor. This tool is applicable
at different scales and processes related to urban climate and the object
ives for the workshop is for participants to try out one or more parts of
the tool based on their research interests and GIS knowledge. We will focu
s on central parts of Norrköping including the surroundings of the confer
ence venue. Some members of the UMEP-team will be there to assist this han
ds-on tutorial where different aspects of urban climate and sensitive plan
ning can be investigated such as Solar Energy\, Surface radiation\, Pedest
rian wind\, Thermal comfort and more.\n\nTo join this we recommend you to:
\n1. Have a recent (e.g. last LTR) version of QGIS installed\n2. Install t
wo plugins (**UMEP** and **UMEP for Processing**) found in Plugins>Manage
 and Install Plugins in QGIS.
