DESCRIPTION:QGIS keeps enhancing its 3D visualisation and point cloud proce
ssing capabilities. This presentation will showcase the latest advancement
s in QGIS 3D\, focusing on new features and the integration of new service
 s. We will demonstrate how these features enable efficient rendering and s
eamless navigation of massive and complex 3D datasets. Furthermore\, we wi
ll explore the new point cloud editing functionalities\, providing users w
ith the ability to directly manipulate and refine point cloud data within
QGIS. Finally\, we will look at what further improvements to expect in the
  coming releases.

DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides participants with a practical\, hands-on
experience in using Mergin Maps for collaborative field data collection.
Participants will learn the complete workflow\, starting with form design
in QGIS\, creating offline maps and proceeding with team-based data collec
tion. Participants will be then able to visualise the data in QGIS.\nThe w
orkshop commences with instruction on setting up custom data collection fo
rms within QGIS\, tailored to specific project needs. Participants will th
en learn how to generate background maps suitable for offline use in the f
ield\, ensuring data collection could proceed even in areas with limited o
r no internet connectivity. A key focus will be on enabling collaborative
teamwork. Participants will practice deploying these forms and maps to mob
ile devices and working together as a team to efficiently collect field da
ta. Finally\, the workshop will cover synchronisation of the collected dat
a back into QGIS\, demonstrating how to view\, manage\, and analyze the re
sults within the familiar QGIS environment.
