DESCRIPTION:Lizmap is an opensource server application to publish QGIS proj
ect (layers\, symbology\, PDF layouts\, forms and dataviz) on the web with
out any coding skills needed.\nIt's using QGIS Server in the backend so us
ers have the same rendering between their\nQGIS Desktop and the web versio
n of their project.\n\nSome additional Lizmap configuration can be added t
o have dataviz capabilities\, decide or not to publish the attribute table
or to configure the feature filter form. All the configuration is done us
ing QGIS Desktop user interface.\n\nFor this workshop\, we will provide yo
u the online instance of Lizmap. You only need to have QGIS 3.34 (LTR vers
ion recommended).\n\nWe will create a web mapping application from scratch
\, with layers\, editing capabilities. We will display some plots and enab
le exporting the map as PDF with a custom layout/logo.

DESCRIPTION:PgMetadata is made for people using QGIS as their main GIS appl
ication\, and PostgreSQL as their main vector data storage.\n\nThe layers
metadata are stored inside your PostgreSQL database\, in a dedicated schem
 a. Classical fields are supported\, such as the title\, description\, cate
gories\, themes\, links\, and the spatial properties of your data.\n\nPgMe
tadata is not designed as a catalog application which lets you search amon
g datasets and then download the data. It is designed to ease the use of t
he metadata inside QGIS\, allowing to search for a data and open the corre
sponding layer\, or to view the metadata of the already loaded PostgreSQL
layers.\n\nBy storing the metadata of the vector and raster tables inside
the database:\n\n QGIS can read the metadata easily by using the layer
PostgreSQL connection: a dock panel shows the metadata for the active laye
r when the plugin detects metadata exists for this QGIS layer.\n QGIS c
an run SQL queries: you can use the QGIS locator search bar to search for
a layer\, and load it easily in your project.\n\nThe administrator in char
ge of editing the metadata will also benefit from the PostgreSQL storage:\
n\n PostgreSQL/PostGIS functions are used to automatically update some
fields based on the table data (the layer extent\, geometry type\, feature
count\, projection\, etc.).\n The metadata is saved with your data any
time you backup the database\n You do not need to share XML files acros
s the network or install a new catalog application to manage your metadata
and allow the users to get it.\n\nAnd the plugin contains some processing
  algorithms to help the administrator.
