Automation of marine and freshwater enumeration by using Shiny, R applications to improve time efficiency.
Our marine & freshwater teams use macro-invertebrate identification and enumeration to help assess water quality and richness of habitat, this often feeds into a larger spatial ecological assessment of effects. Enumeration was previously completed in Excel which was quite a manual process. Shiny apps were created to automate the marine and freshwater enumeration process for greater efficiency.
