DESCRIPTION:The NSDI Geoportal (National Spatial Data Infrastructure) serve
 s as a starting point for viewing\, searching\, and downloading spatial d
 ata sources that are\, according to the NSDI Act\, part of National Spatia
 l Data Infrastructure. \nThe main part of Geoportal is the metadata catalo
 g\, which was developed using the GeoNetwork catalog application to manage
  spatially referenced resources. It provides powerful metadata editing and
  search functions and is currently used in numerous Spatial Data Initiativ
 es worldwide.\nImplementing customized functionalities within the Geonetwo
 rk framework enabled an enhanced user experience\, optimization of metadat
 a search\, and integration with other systems.\nKey adaptations include th
 e enhancement of spatial and attribute filters for better search results\,
  an analytics module on the map component\, customization of the metadata 
 editor according to INSPIRE standards and NSDI specification for better in
 teroperability\, and enhancement of the administrative module for better u
 ser and group management. \nGeoNetwork was integrated with Kibana dashboar
 ds\, which provide an intuitive way of relaying data to the user\, such as
  the number of defined metadata in the system\, most searched keywords\, t
 he percentage of the metadata spatial scope\, the number of searches\, etc
 . Also\, GeoNetwork was integrated with GeoHealthCheck\, a Python applicat
 ion used to monitor the overall health (uptime and availability) of OGC se
 rvices like WMS\, WFS\, WMTS\, and ATOM. \nThe results of this work show t
 hat the customization of the GeoNetwork system within NSDI Geoportal signi
 ficantly contributes to improving the accessibility of spatial data and in
 creasing its usability for end users. The integration of customized functi
 onalities enables more efficient searching\, easier data analysis\, and be
