DESCRIPTION:The summer of 2024 saw extreme floods and landslides in Switzer
land\, significantly affecting the Ticino\, Grisons and Valais regions.\nT
his talk examines the critical role of QField's new plugin framework in co
mplementing the aerial rapid mapping effort with crowdsourced oblique (ter
restrial) imagery. We will discuss a quickly built proof-of-concept (POC)
project that used QField's new customizable plugins\, allowing first respo
nders\, civil protection agencies\, and citizens to map and report damages
efficiently. The session will introduce the plugin framework\, its easy d
eployment through QFieldCloud\, and its possible impact on field data coll
ection workflows in enterprise and community settings.
