DESCRIPTION:In 2022 we've prepared an infrastructure based on QGIS & Input 
 for Municipal surveys - Helping cities and regional councils in Israel to 
 collect geospatial data with Open Source tools. \n\nEspecially focusing on
  common surveys which would save resources for each participating entity s
 uch as road signs\, city infrastructure\, number of routine oversight acit
 ivty (littering\, fixes \, upcoming works\, traffic issues and gardening &
  cleaning) along longer term planning like zoning or mapping residents com
 plaints over time.\n\nOur goal is to allow medium to low socioeconomic sta
 tus municipalities to get the opportunities of "richer" municipalities\, w
 ho spend much of their budget on proprietary GIS software. In some cases\,
  this opens the door for the first GIS software in for such municipalities
 .\n\nThis talk would cover both the technical aspects and the project mana
 gement aspects of our efforts\, as "converting" a market\, traditionally f
 amiliar with only proprietary software\, to Open Source\, has it challenge
 s\, especially when it is the public sector.
